Hi Dany,

could you send some of your files you are facing errors with to mailme@tobiaspott.de ?
And could you provide screenshots or console information about the errors so I can take care that I'm trying to reproduce the correct errors.
I will take a look at those and check why errors occur.

Kind Regards
Tobi

Hi Tim and Tobias!

I've just purchased the Qubicle Master and Unity editions and am having trouble importing to Unity.
I received this error in Unity after importing the Qubicle Package, which is why I'm assuming my imports are no good.

When i drag'n'drop in a .qef file the "No Name" material isn't generated and i get "ImportFBX Errors:..." in the console saying it couldn't import the .dae file. I assume this is because the package hasn't installed correctly. Perhaps i missed something?

If i try importing an un-optimized .obj file with texture of this model:

It imports into Unity like so:

Also one quick question about the pencil/add cube tools, I'm aware of the shift+click function to draw lines which is a huge time-saver, but is there a way to just "scribble" by clicking and dragging to sort of just freestyle to colour and add geometry?

Thanks for your time!
Qubicle is fantastic btw!

Tim mentioned something along the lines that the older 1.x implementation doesn't allow that. It's a feature of 2.x though.

As for the issue, the latest Unity free works for me: http://j.mp/LnXqe8 . I didn't try making a new project though yet. Did you check you have the latest Unity? (FYI I'm using Shiva3d for my projects, it's a little hassle going through Unity to import assets into it but it's worth it, and Shiva 2.0 looks very promising.)

Hey thanks Dany0!

I'll have to update my copy of Unity i guess.

Do we know when Qubicle 2.x will be out?
And thanks for the heads up on Shiva3D, looks cool!

Hey cartoon.monkey,
tobi will check this tomorrow.

if you use the obj exporter, let unity recalculate the normals on import

"scribbling" will come with 2.0
release date TBA

Cheers,
Tim

So I guess updating Unity fixed it? Or no?
