Qubicle Unite Noise Shader/3D Dot Heroes Look

Hey everyone,

I've been using Qubicle Master Edition/Unite for Unity stuff and it's great.

Two issues, though...

1. Is there a shader or something that can apply a noise effect to models in Unity from Qubicle Unite? I love some of the noise effects you can make in Qubicle itself, but they absolutely kill the verts optimisation that Unite does!
2. Is there any way to achieve the "3D Dot Heroes" effect outlined here (http://www.qubicle-constructor.com/wordpress/tutorials/how-to-use-qubicle-to-get-the-3d-dot-game-heroes-look) through optimised Qubicle Unite models? Bare in mind I'm also a full Qubicle Master Edition owner... ;)

1. Isn't this Unity shaders 101? https://gist.github.com/2945250 (or with multiply if you have no alpha noise texture https://gist.github.com/2945250) Disclaimer: no I didn't write the shader

The effect is quite nice, though Qubicle's silly UVs make it... silly http://j.mp/MiEfTH
2. Set the imported texture size to something like 8x8 in the unite settings and then add a grid over it in photoshop. Easy huh?

Hey, I'm self-taught, so sometimes I miss some of the basics. ;) Thanks Dany0!

Any way to automate the Photoshop process?

Yeah photoshop batching or imagemagick. Can't you use Google?

Uh yeah, I can use Google just fine. I didn't in this instance.

I just thought I'd ask in case you knew of any tool particularly suited to the job, since you seem to be pretty knowledgeable around these parts.

I should mention that like always Shiva3D is performing much better then Unity3D :) http://j.mp/NIhlJi Works really well ignoring the faulty UVs from Qubicle. I like this, sort of path-tracing noise :P http://j.mp/NIib8J
