3D-2D-Pixel-Art Mashup: The N3rds finished with classic isometric pixel-art styles.

This was done with the Qubicle Constructor a standalone windows software for creating 3d pixel art. A public beta version of the Constructor will be out on july 15 2010.

For this print the original 3D model lego n3rds was rendered in an isometric viewing angle and colored and outlined by a standard image editing tool.

Fabulous work! Is this traditional aliased isometric pixel result also possible rendered from Qubicle?

  3. Tim Wesoly says:

Yes and no. You can render your models in a classic isometric manner but have to outline them manually. But outlining doesn’t take too long.
Creating this kind of gfx with Qubicle still saves a lot of time compared to doing it with classic 2D tools.
Auto outlining may come in a future release.
